I had a lovely day yesterday at Kibble Palace with @teagreenevents! Unfortunately I started to feel really yukky in the afternoon and by the time I got myself back to Dundee I wasn’t feeling well at all. That in itself is a bit rubbish but the reason I’m posting about it is that it means I can’t attend today’s lovely wee show at @harbourcafetayport . Really gutted as it’s always so nice being there. Don’t you be missing out too though - especially can’t miss their amazing cakes!! It’s open 11-3:30, right next to the pretty harbour. Go say hi for me! 😘🐳 . . Oh and I know some #Etsy orders came in yesterday and today - don’t worry. I have some very good elves who can help me make sure they are posted in time! 💚🌿🎄 . . Another print coming to CRAFTED @dcadundee with me today - Dundee’s iconic Magdalen Green Bandstand! 💚🌿 . . “Magdalen Green has the distinction of being Dundee’s oldest city park having been in use for some 400 years and has long been used for both meeting and recreational purposes. The bandstand built in 1890 has become a Dundee icon and hosts concerts on Sunday afternoons during the summer. I’ve been busy drawing Dundee some Dundee buildings this year and forgot to share any of the illustrations with you! 🤦🏻‍♀️ So here is the first one - The McManus. It is now available as a print too! . . For those of you who don’t know Dundee “The @mcmanusdundee is Dundee’s Art Galleries and Museum and is a Gothic Revival-style building, located in the centre of Dundee, Scotland. The building houses a museum and art galleries with a collection of fine and decorative art as well as a natural history collection. It is protected as a Category A listed building. The building was designed by the architect George Gilbert Scott, who was an expert for the restoration of mediaeval churches and advocate of the Gothic architectural style.” (Dundee Leisure & Culture) . . What an amazing weekend it’s been! The @teagreenevents Festive Design Market at @vadundee was a blast! The museum was jammed all weekend with all you brilliant lot and loads of new faces too. Thanks so much for all the kind words and stories - and I hope that all those goodies you bought bring lots of smiles! . . Massive congrats to @joannemacfadyen of @teagreenevents! Dream big or go home girl - you did it. 💚🌿Also to the insane construction skills of the unstoppable @louisecforbes - those display stands are ace! 😍 . . A few hours later, the museum was once again quiet and team Tea Green gave a big yay 🙌 #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #TTG . . I’ve been continuing the #teagreentakeover over at @teagreenevents and shared this!💚🌿 It’s been a while since I shared any wee timelapse drawings on here so I thought you might like to see this too. Can’t wait to get stuck into more inky funs after Christmas! . My illustrations are full of tiny little details, often inspired by travels, nature or stories I’ve read. Leaves become patterns, flowers texture and there are often lots of hidden treasures that I’ve popped in. . . My drawings are usually ink on paper or acrylic paints on pretty much any surface I can make them stick - I love experimenting and pushing my work. . . If I’m designing products such as enamel pins I often draw digitally, as the drawing would need to be made digital eventually anyway. Hola! Good morning! I’m doing today’s @teagreenevents #teagreentakeover! As there are a few new faces over here (hi 👋) I thought I’d do it here too to introduce myself properly. 💚🌿 . For those of you who don’t know me, I’m a full time illustrator based in sunny Dundee. I love telling stories through my work and helping others tell theirs. The mural I’m in front of in this photo is a great example of just that as I helped a family tell their story within a giant garden. . . When I’m not drawing I’ve been known to get involved in a few public art trails as both artist and art director. I’m very proud to have been part of @oorwulliebuckettrail 2016 @maggiespenguinparade 2018 and this year’s massive @owbigbuckettrail. I love painting the sculptures but also really love helping to facilitate opportunities for other artists too, including a few of you who are also exhibiting with @teagreenevents too. . . Enough of my rambling just now I’m looking forward to sharing more of my work and maybe even a peek at my studio too later on. . . What are you up to today? I’m prepping my set up for this weekend’s @teagreenevents market at @vadundee! I’m just a huge bit excited about this - it’s gonna be BIG and my stall will be quite different from usual too, which is a great challenge.
