A Week in the Heart of Scotland for Perthshire Open Studios

This will be the third year that I have teamed up with my mum to do Perthshire Open Studios. Our studio is at Tigh Fhada in Inver, by Dunkeld.

We have to be in one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland, being on the doorstep of the renowned Hermitage. It would be impossible not to be inspired here and much of my work has been influenced by these magical surroundings too.

Anne Hamilton (my mum) creates ceramics inspired greatly from the natural world, organic shapes and history. Working mainly in stoneware, her pieces are both functional and decorative.

Here is just a snapshot of some of our work on display this year.

If you would like to come and visit, we are open 5th-13th September from 10-5 each day. You can find us at Tigh Fhada in Inver (by Dunkeld), number 138 on the Red Route.

We got a lovely little mention in The Bridge this month alongside local lass Flora who is currently taking part in The Great British Bake Off! Good luck Flora! ^_^

Thank you to everyone who has come to visit us over the last 10 days… You have made this our most successful open studios to date! It’s been great to meet you all.

See you next year!

Love from Anne and Suzanne xx
